APX teaches fire safety to community

By the time you finish reading this article someone in the United States will have reported a home fire. The National Fire Protection Association reports that a home fire is reported every 79 seconds nationally and over half of fire related deaths are linked to no fire alarm or a non-functioning alarm. Home fires are just one reason “protecting families” is a creed APX not only sticks to in the business world but in the community as well.

On Saturday, February 28, APX participated in the Zero Fatalities: Safe Kids Fair at the South Towne Expo. Matt Berrett taught several classes to help educate children about fire safety. Other APX employees provided Fire Safety coloring books and gave families tips on what to do in case of a disaster.

“Our hope is that reinforcing many of these safety tips available will instill a great commitment for families to have a game plan when disaster strikes,” Lindsay Grauling, vice president of operations, said.

With 25,000+ attendees, thousands of people stopped by the APX booth and received information on how APX can help protect their homes and their families.
