APX Family Foundation Sponsors Now I Can “Run to Walk”
APX and the APX Family Foundation are partnering for the second consecutive year with Now I Can “Run to Walk” by making a $1,000 donation. The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 8 at 8 a.m. In 2009, the first year event drew close to 300 runners with the goal of doubling that number this year.
The 5K run and 1 mile walk will be held at the Now I can Foundation located at 1675 N. Freedom Blvd, Provo, Utah. Registration costs are $15 per person for the 5K event and $10 per person for the 1 mile walk.
Now I Can is a nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to helping disabled children reach their full potential and make greater strides towards independence. They have combined the most effective methods of physical therapy with the most outstanding therapy team – making their therapy unique and sought after by families across the country.
Now I Can welcomes children of any age who want to improve their strength and independence, relieve pain, or recover from injury.

I can’t wait to participate in this event! I helped teach a dance class for disabled children and it really touched my heart. They were all so positive and driven. I love that the Now I Can Foundation is providing the tools and opportunities for these kids and I will definitely be there to help!

This is incredible! Why didn’t I know about this last year. I am really excited to run for a good cause. Its amazing what can be done when we get some people together who are unselfish with just a few hours of their time and a few dollars from their pockets. We can truly change someone’s life. Can you really put a price on something like that? I think not!!
I am so excited about the 2010 RUN to WALK!!! Last year’s race was so great, and this year’s promises to be excellent as well! Please tell anyone you know about this race and get as many people as possible to participate. All proceeds go to these amazing children who desperately need physical therapy. I can’t express in words how it feels to see these children succeed (like seeing one of these children take their first step after 5 years of being told it would never happen)…that’s the kind of good that this race will benefit. Can’t wait to see you all on May 8th!
